… I just nod and tell them I "have a system".
Not sure best way to install. I want permanent. My husband wants one that we can remove.
Sounds like you need to Katch-A-Kid. Theyre durable to last as long as you need but can easily be removed also as you need.Neighbor across road has new girlfriend with two young children.
No requirements. Neighbor across road has new girlfriend with two young children. What are the requirements for the security fence to have? What/who are you trying to stop from getting in?
Haven't done the bucket method but have turned off the fill water for a few days just to see how much we are losing per day. Only made it 3 days and the level got so low in the skimmer that we were sucking air and got an air lock. Luckily we were keeping an eye on it and it didn't run our pump dry and burn it up.I get the feeling that 1” per day is excessive even in the desert. Maybe someone else can comment on that. I might try and do a bucket test to see if it’s actually 1” as well as turning off the auto-fill for a few days and see what happens.
Move this valve such that it closes flow to the spa and all flow to the pool. Then turn off the pump. Does the spa drain down? It should not.Valve 2 appears to control water to the pool and to the spa, they set it so some water overflows from the spa into the pool whenever the pump is running and adjusting it will alter the amount of flow.
What are the requirements for the security fence to have? What/who are you trying to stop from getting in?We live out in the country. We have a weird set up because a wooden deck was installed over our in-ground pool concrete deck. We are in desperate need of a security fence.

What would be best way to address this? All the way around the perimeter (not sure we have enough $$) or put fence on wood deck which clearly needs repairing every year.
I think this is a good plan. Any new product may have minor issues after its release. Letting others sort that out and getting a proven (existing) product at a discount makes good financial sense. This is quite the conundrum... I'm starting season 6 with my current cell. I should go check the operating hours. I have been thinking about how I will navigate the loss of this cell and getting a new one. I was initially hoping to make it until the new models were out, but if I can save a decent amount of dough, it may be worth getting the old version and waiting to see how the IC plus works out long term. Plus having a cell on the shelf with some known life left in it sounds like the best way to navigate the loss of a cell.

No obvious leaks that I am aware of. Our pool is on a concrete slab so you would think I would see it. It is just very dry, hot and windy hI
It would shock me if they winterized the pipes. I will be sure to ask these questions to whoever conducts the test. Were the pipes winterized? Will the pressure test return the pipes to a winterized state after the test?
The cover needs to be removed; the returns and skimmers outlets all have to be located in the pool and plugged; the pipes connected to the equipment need to be disconnected at the unions; and one pipe is broken and may need repair; then each pipe can be pressurized individually.
What state will the pool be returned to when all that is completed?
Just to be sure I understand - there is a concern that the pressure testing will cause damage to the pipes?
Yeah. Financially it makes every sense to scoop up the cheap spare. But I'm broke with 3+ years left on mine .This is quite the conundrum.
I am calling today to see if someone can come out this week.Have you spoken with a company who has said they can pressure test the pipes?
Just to be sure I understand - there is a concern that the pressure testing will cause damage to the pipes? It will not be simple and if I was the owner I would be concerned about the state the plumbing is left if you back out of the purchase.
Good to hear. Based on google maps history, the pool was up and running in summer of 2023. It seemed like it was well cared for up until that point. The pool equipment looks better than I expected and just needs some TLC.

Reading your comment for the first time. Can you elaborate on the acid dosing system please as I am having to add acid CONSTANTLY to keep my pH and TA within range.
Reading your comment for the first time. Can you elaborate on the acid dosing system please as I am having to add acid CONSTANTLY to keep my pH and TA within range.I think aeration is appropriate for those situations where a rapid TA reduction is necessary, such as very high CSI in a plaster pool after a refill. However, for long term maintenance of pools in arid to semi-arid climates, such as mine, I found that TA rises very rapidly requiring this procedure to be repeated fairly often which was not very appealing to me and why I chose to install an acid dosing system. I find It is just a lot less work.
