New from AZ

I've never been more excited to test my water for some reason.
It's legit fun once you realize how simple it is and the puzzle pieces start to fall into place.

Be forewarned though. When you dump that 2000 piece puzzle box on the table, it's a bit overwhelming. Not gonna lie. :ROFLMAO:

Take it one stupid simple line at a time and it's laughable.

If it helps, they swindled you all the other times too. 😁 #never again.

Welcome to easy street. (TFP) We'll be your training wheels for as long as you need. For nothing but feels because we're all volunteer here. It's a pretty sweet deal.

Read up and ask away : Pool Care Basics
Download : PoolMath
Purchase : Test Kits Compared
Follow : FC/CYA Levels

You need the test kit A) so you can test reliably and often and B) so you can stay out of FleeceVille.

The free version of poolmath works fine, but if you purchase the $8 (yearly) subscription (peanuts) you can track all your results and spot trends before they go south. We can see them too and have many times reverse engineered or head off a problem before it happened.
I downloaded it, but haven't dug in yet and at $8 a year I'm in for that for sure. Thanks for the advice, my kit comes this week. I've never been more excited to test my water for some reason.

iAqualink - Jandy Pool Light LED Multicolor not changing to correct color

Transformer is a Intermatic PX300
I have 3 lights, all work correctly together and individually when manually powerer toggled.
Aqualink behaves the same with one light connected.
I now have the lights not programed as color changing so the app just turns them on and off, I am able to change color but there is sometimes a delay between switching the app and the light responding, it is the same using the web interface. I can change about 4 colors before it delays.

Is trying them on a different Aux a next good move?

I feel like I got swindled last time I was in there buying some NOPHOS.

ScreenLogic / EasyTouch Scheduling Problem

Thanks for all the suggestions guys. Trying to work through this methodically since as noted it is a complicated issue. I think the logs could hold some clues but Pentair basically dismisses the pool-monitor tool/logs and refuses to review the data.

Anyway, last night I disconnected the ScreenLogic transponder from the ET. It was cool here last night in S FL and I slept with the doors open and didn't hear the pump go on, which I usually would. Too soon to make any conclusions because it could just be that I slept through any startups, but potentially positive.

On another note, I'm learning some things about the monitoring. What I stated above about the packets 'stopping' seems to be the result of the monitoring tab on the browser 'going to sleep', and it stops recording packets, not the ET itself. When I check the packet logs directly on the Pi, it does not skip thousands of packets. I also see that the packet count goes from 0-80,000 and then resets itself automatically back to 0 again pretty consistently. In checking the log, the packets do seem continuous at those times where I'm having the problem, so what I think is happening is that when I hear the pump go on, I run into the office and 'wake' up the monitor tab on the computer and it starts recording again.

Going to keep posting here until a resolution is found.

Strange winter so far for me

Its all we can do is to adapt with the punches. If anyone here is psychic to know what's coming, please PM me some megaball #s. (Obviously, SUPER TIA :ROFLMAO:).
My favorite part of this time of year is we can see the finish line. When it's wild in October and we have months left....... yeah. Lol. C'mon spring !!!

Strange winter so far for me

I've owned an AG pool for about 23 years. This has been a strange one for me. First it was my winter cover just wouldn't stay on the water during what I consider mild wind so I had to put jugs of water into the pool. Then the jugs were flipped into the center of the pool by the wind blowing the cover so I had to tie them around the perimeter and that worked mostly. Then we had some rain which was great as it kept the cover down even better. We had light snow, some more light snow and the water rose so I went out to drain the cover - it was a solid block of ice! I waited for a few days of 35+ F days (some even getting to 45+F) to thaw out the ice which in the past has usually melted but NOPE still solid. I have never not been able to drain the cover in the winter after a few warmish days. Come on Spring!
