You pool got named!!! LOVE IT!! It is so purrfect!“The Simpool”
LOL go puppy!! Get it all cleaned up for Dad!!!It's like a Easter Egg hunt for Puppies.
We shall call this design “The Simpool”!
Simple but it works!
Description:
Large, wet rectangle w/ oversized Swg & filter, & robotic cleaner.
No bells, no whistles, it has what it needs for simple almost effortless operation & enjoyment , no more, no less.
I like your plan/style - similar to buying a car based on it’s motor & transmission’s reliability vs it’s fancy gadgets like wireless charging & 14 moon roofs that will inevitably leak.
Practical, reliable, & uncomplicated!
Simple pools are beautiful![]()
This is just WRONG...on so many levels.
It's a BIG fat money pit in the 'burbs that has made me awfully sully. But i castaway all the negativity so I wasn't the punchline. Now I'm just counting the days until the first splash. This is just WRONG...on so many levels
If it's not too late, reconsider going to 3.5 in the shallow end. You have a GREAT design for laps, but 3 feet could be a knuckle buster. I understand the $$$ thing, but you're living with this decision forever.34k ish
3.5 - 8. Actual is 3 - 7.5. (I wanted deeper in the shallow end but Covid already did a number on the budget)
Vinyl, blue with swirls. Preferably dark blue but will take whatever is available when the time comes. The old one was 502 colors. This will be too
2 each
Center field. Parking lot.

Deep end main drains.
Robot TBD on availability, named the Dread Robot Roberts. Pollen would never surrender to the Dread Robot Newdude. When the time comes I will bring on a new crew and call the replacement Roberts and they will never know that he isn't.
Me dumping an occasional jug of MA in front of a return.
Maybe a stand alone one day.
Gas heater down the road. Stubbed for now.
Pentair Intelliflo / IC60 / Star rite S8M500 cartridge filter.
+1. My shallow end is 3.5, and even that's a little shallow sometimes. If it's not too late, reconsider going to 3.5 in tg shallow end. You have a GREAT design for laps, but 3 feet coul be a knuckle buster. I understand the $$$ thing, but you're living with this decision forever.
Good points, but keep in mind that in 5 minutes those kids are going to be a foot taller! There is always going to be some kid that is too short for the shallow end, no matter how deep it is. That's what $5 floaties are for. Build the pool for the way you want to use it over time, not based on the current height of your kids.Always seems every build thread has suggestions to make the shallow ends deeper. I like the 3'. Not sure who's going to be using this pool, but I know for my build, my 3' shallow is going to be perfect for my 11, 7, 5, and 3 year olds. Plus, growing up, if you got lane 5 or 6 in my city's pool on the swim team, you had to do flipturns in 2.5', so you got pretty good at it!
Touché. I would settle for my pool actually being built, regardless of depth at this point.Build the pool for the way you want to use it over time, not based on the current height of your kids.
And, of course, it's easy for me to advise 'dude on what he should do. I'm great at spending other people's money!Touché. I would settle for my pool actually being built, regardless of depth at this point. So jealous of this one getting started. Ours is designed exactly the way we wanted it, even after the kids are grown, as my wife's feet never touch the bottom, she just lays on the pool floats. I'm sure this one is designed perfectly for them as well, at least it should be after his long wait!
LOL Right!I would settle for my pool actually being built, regardless of depth at this point. So jealous of this one getting started.
??? The end of your project? The end of your rope? The end of time? The end is close......
Our whole pool is the deep end for our water babies. They do use the sun shelf and wander around the seating ledge, but in the pool the just-turned 4 year old swims like a fish, and his little sister and cousin will start their lessons this summer.Good points, but keep in mind that in 5 minutes those kids are going to be a foot taller! There is always going to be some kid that is too short for the shallow end, no matter how deep it is. That's what $5 floaties are for. WOW! Really nice, right down to the matchie-matchie pool house. Love the deck and the grey/white. Awesome.LOL To be determined.
