Fun fact about the excavator that is spending the weekend :

Lol. The excavator would SUCK for moving the pile to the perimeter of the backyard to fill in under the fence. It chugga chuggas sloooooooow. I could probably win with a wheelbarrow.

I knew it had some pitch but it really didn't seem that much, even from the fence line looking back at the house. But the excavator guy had no idea about my plans to steal half the dirt for under the fence. He was thinking I'd need the pile for leveling alone.

FWIW to anybody planning, both the GC and the excavator operator preferred the toilet bowl method of skimmer/return placement. They were standing in my backyard looking down on me and my plans and I asked them about the stiff wind hitting them in their face. Feel that fellas ? GC was here 2 weeks ago and I showed him that day too. The wind blows HARD this way 7 out of 10 days. While I can appreciate it, the toilet bowl way won't work here.

GC swore by it last time when we discussed it. He ran his own business for 30 years and said he would show up at all of his customers to find a debris pile in the middle which cleaned up in 5 minutes and was on his way.

But wind. So no.

Day one is in the books. I have a shallow end hole. They are coming back tomorrow to build the forms and then Monday is scoop the hopper in the morning and pour in the afternoon. Until it isn't of course.

There has been waaaaaaaaaaaaaay too much 'isn't' so far, to trust anything tomorrow. But. Progress today so it's a WIN.

Overnight, the inspector, Wigg Lee Bottoms awoke from a slumber worried about some details. He was too worked up to talk, but he got RIGHT on it first thing this morning. With a better view he realized It was a false flag and he gave it the gre... I mean... yellow light.

It's funny because we were just used to it on day 4 and it was 'normal'. At the last blowout party there was a equal sized tent right next to it which seemed cavernous while the pool seemed small. There was 35 people in each with tons of room to still swim/dance. It hadn't felt big for years before that.

Where'd little Timmy go? I just saw him swimming over there near the skimmer.

My skimmers have an SVRS function in them. I made the statement in a different thread about not sure how you'd get in there to get stuck. Now I know. LOL

So this just happened....

Just a heads up if you are considering an Active60. Although it looks like the same form factor as the S200/S300, it is significantly heavier. 24.5lbs instead of 16lbs. Might make it a little harder to remove from the pool. I know my wife will not pull my M500 out of the pool.
