The Q&A on the website seems to indicate it is a direct replacement. It is almost exactly the same size and diameter, etc., when measured with a caliper. They are closed till Monday, but I’ll try them then. It occurs to me that if it’s over pressure for whatever reason, it could leak, though it’s only pulling 20 psi if the gage is accurate. The other thing I am thinking is that there was sand added when it was closed last year. Sand is being lost when being backwashed, so I am wondering if it overfilled. I’ll open it, deep clean, and take a look; it can’t hurt, but perhaps I’ll find something. The behavior is almost identical to the OEM. I included an image of the OEM; it’s still in fairly good shape or at least not damaged enough to be dumping out water like a faucet. I haven’t had issues so far, and it’s been opened about a month; this just started on Wednesday. Regardless, any suggestions are appreciated.

I figured that after reading all the posts but like many others I thought it was a local problem since it said no network. And what makes me more mad is I called them 45 minutes before they closed and it said they were closed already

Add about 1/2 gallon of 10% liquid chlorine a day.

Do you have a submersible pump ? It would circulate the water for as long as you needed. Even if you got a little hazy from not filtering for an extended time, you'd be sanitary but slightly dirty and way better than a swamp.

If you bought a phosphate remover, return it.

We don't test for phosphates or worry about it.

Trust the drop test across the board. For salt too. The cell and poolstore can be off there by a wide margin.

What does your k1766 say for salt ? (Please say you have one or the TF100salt equivalent. )

I use a small flat head screwdriver and an exacto knife for the small pieces that get left behind.
I have also used some Goo Gone but it sometimes gets diluted due to water in some of the ports. I apply it with a sponge in the groove to help loosen up the glue. Use it sparingly. .

Use your own test kit.

Leslies states 'adjusted alkalinity' to get you to buy their high price baking soda.

With your fill water, you NEVER need to add baking soda.

Try the standard drain plug that came with the filter...


I hope the threads in the filter were not damaged, as that will require the replacement of the filter bottom.

As much as the system being down drives me crazy, I'm sure glad this site is here as it prevented me from going down the rabbit hole of resetting password, etc. I did delete and reinstall the Android app which obviously didn't help since that's not where the issue lies but nothing more draconian - Whewww...

Good day, I’m getting around to starting this project and would like some advise on cutting out the grout around the ones which has lifted ? I’m thinking a osolating tool like a ryobi but the grout is too narrow any suggestions as I would like to keep some of the tiles around the effected area

We recommend it for the value and it is literally packed to the gills with value. We wouldn't do you dirty but you don't know us, so thank you for the leap of faith.
