Pool Leaking and Large Water Bulges behind Liner

Hi I have a 16x32 steel wall vinyl lined pool. 3 years ago I had all the plumbing to the pool dug up and professionally replaced, had the liner replaced and new concrete pool deck poured. This winter I have found that the pool has a leak and I have various water filled bulges behind the liner. I have been watching the water level and found it stops consistently at the same level. I am reaching out to see if anyone here may have suggestions at to the possible causes. I will be reaching out to the company that did the rehab work and want to be fully informed when talking with them.

A little more background, the pool was installed in the early 1970’s. I have been the owner for 14 seasons with no issues. This winter was typical, with no real frost, deep freeze or heavy snow issues. I have a “loop lock” mesh safety cover and the pool was closed without issue. Any help would greatly appreciated.

Vinyl Liner PICTURE Pattern Roundup - PICTURES AND NAME OF LINER ONLY PLEASE

Here's a random picture I took last week! We are still absolutely thrilled with our choice in liner color/pattern. We have gotten a ton of compliments from everyone who has seen it and it makes the pool water look absolutely gorgeous!

Hi, which liner is this?

Boric Acid Test

TF Test Kits were marketed by a TFP stakeholder
The same guy owns both but the rules are strict about remaining independent.
given the way they are recommended here
Many individual members such as myself recommend them. The kits were designed for how we test, and are better values. Take the TF 100 vs the K2006 for example. The TF100 has 2.7X the reagents for the same money. Yes, I happen to know and like the owner, but it's a hands down no brainer on its own. :)

Your TFpro got you a smart stir ($45) and better doled supply of reagents for the cost of the K2006C. Then the salt kit added the $30 salt test for only $20. How could I *not* recommend that ?

Time to swim! (I think??)

Hi, folks. Happy to be here for the new season.

Been cleaning the pool for three days or so since opening and I think we’re in surprisingly good shape!

No visible algae, pool is clear.

Any thoughts other than getting the salt up? (And maybe dealing w the CH, which for a vinyl pool I’ve not spent any time worrying about? I’ve not tested it in forever…)

Thanks!
