Pentair iChlor30 turned on and immediately off, surge board only outputs 28VDC

Hi experts,

My iChlor30 suddenly stopped working. When the pump starts, the SWG first turned on (as usual), but within a second or so, all the displays turned dark.

At first I thought it's the cell, so I clean the calcite throughly with acid but the problem persists.

After reading some great posts in this forum, I opened the box of the power center (520556), and I can confirm the green LED is on. The 28VAC input to the surge board also appears to correct.

However, when I check the 39V DC output, it only reads about 28 VDC, and it doesn't change whether I plug in the SWG or not, or whether the SWG started initially or after it turned off.

The surge board has three STPS20H100CFP for rectification I guess, but I couldn't figure out how they are connected or if they are faulty or not.

Any help is greatly appreciated!

Mustard algae -- SLAM before/during/after new robot?

Regular slam is safe for you, and I don't know you and all, but the robot has thicker skin than you do. Just saying. 😁

And due to that super cool CYA stuff that the industry ignores, SLAM FC has less active HOCL (the harsh part) than tap water. Possibly a few times over. Think about that the next time you're hosing it off. It's worse than SLAM.

UL rated sump pump to drain pool

I use an cheap pump I bought from Home Depot 10 years ago and it works just fine. Not sure the flow rating but it does take a little while to drop my level to where I want it in the fall.

That said, I would not worry about whether it is a real certification or not because you should be plugging it into a GFCI protected outlet and more importantly, NOT entering the pool with an energized pump/extension cord in it under any circumstances regardless of who the manufacturer of the pump is.

Mesh cover sagged into Above Ground Pool

What do I do? The instructions said it was not meant to drain. We installed per instructions but now there’s a LOT of water on top. It’s pool water mixed with precipitation. I’m skimming leaves out but no way I’ll be able to pump the water off. It will just drain the pool water. Do I just get as much leaves and debris off it and let the top water fall in when I remove it? I know I’ll have to work a bit harder to get it clear. I don’t know what we did wrong…

Pentair Spa Aqualight Replacement?

Talk to these folks and see what they can offer you…

This might fit the bill...

Pool lost a lot of water over winter

You have a leak around the stairs.

Stair are are bolted to the steel or polymer panels and are permanent, they are a piece of the pool wall structure. The trim sandwiches the liner to the steps for a seal. Just like anything else in the pool there are holes.

I'd go back to the company that installed the liner and get them to troubleshoot.

In-Wall Ladder for Pool Leaking

In wall steps are installed just like stair trims. They are bolted to the steel or polymer panels and are permanent, they are a piece of the pool wall structure. The trim sandwiches the liner to the steps for a seal. Just like anything else in the pool there are holes. With the rust showing in the trim/water, water is getting to the steel panels causing rusting.

I would find a reputable pool maintenance company near Montrose and have them evaluate the potential solutions.
