For Father's Day, my wife contacted a photographer friend to come do some drone work at our house. These were taken in late June. Nice gift. There are also some fun video shots but I'm waiting to see if he creates an edited compilation video.

Thank you. Big Blue liriope. I mow it with my walk-behind mower in early spring.
I like that a lot. Comes in white also. Around my pool following the flow of the curves I was doing white day lilies zig zagged and then little limes behind. I might do a mass planting of them in white along my walkway cause I was looking for something besides lilies for there. Thanks!

Did you pull the leaves off?
We have 5 plumeria. Last year we let them go dormant in a closet. Trying to keep them alive this winter in pots inside the house so they'll get a quicker start next spring. With all their leaves they take up quite a bit of room.
Will yours go dormant or re-grow leaves?
Wow, that looks like a lot of work! How long do you have to keep them in the greenhouses?
With all the rain, our landscape crew is running over a month behind. Rumor has it they're starting rock/hardscape/drainage work tomorrow, and doing our plants in the spring. I'll believe it when I see it.

We still have a long way to go...... but it’s been so nice not having to look at a construction zone and walk through dirt and mud. We have a lot of planter area with decomposed granite and drip system already in place along our vinyl fence and retaining wall that we’re looking for suggestions on what to plant. We plan to put Mediterranean palms in the retaining wall area but would like suggestions on what else to plant. We live in the high desert of SoCal so it needs to be something drought and freeze tolerant. Thanks in advance everyone

Clip the leaves 2" away from the stalk, do not just break them off. Plumerias go dormant due to sun exposure decreasing. Cold is their mortal enemy!!! They will grow new leaves each season, not from previous spots though.

They will stay in the greenhouses until late April, as soon as I know we will not have temps lower than the 40's I will pull them and replant.

Ours is a 1980's vintage that takes up the entire backyard (which is fine- less grass to mow). I'd like a sun shelf, but the likelihood of renovating this pool is very slim. We finally ordered our 2 palms and 2 agave plants. We still have 2 feet of snow but plus temps next week. These are pics of the trees and an older pic of the yard. We will extend the deck towards the shed and building a palapa up there, along with railing! Lol. One palm beside the bar on the right and another up on the deck along with both Agave plants. Next yr we will order 4 more palms.
