Well I should be building an ark and not a spa with an updated pool with all of the rain we’ve been having. The rain continues to delay things and it looks like we are now targeting getting everything done except for the plaster. We will throw some water in the pool, put the cover on and do the plaster in the spring (and I’m 100% cool with that since we are getting below freezing at night time now).
Attached are a couple of close up pictures of the SPA...... let’s hope we get the concrete poured next week.

If you have a utility pump, I would drop it in there to help it dry out quicker. You definitely don’t want the plywood form getting wet, as it will warp the wood.
Smart move to wait for the plaster! Good call! Here is some light reading for you about how to get a good plaster job. You can research it while we wait for Spring to get here again:

We are all set for the concrete pour for the spa. Not sure if it will take place tomorrow or Wednesday (tomorrow we are supposed to get a ton of rain and wind). Here is the video from today - day #22.....

Yup - was working at home today so was able to be part of the festivities. The pour went very well and the rain held off (we even had the sun come out!). Tomorrow they will take the forms off and start digging all of the trenches for the plumbing and lights. Hopefully by the end of the week they get the forms done for the concrete decking and we get a warmer day over the next couple of weeks to get that done too.....

No idea what we are putting on the outside walls. The inside of the tub is going to be polished concrete on the horizontal surfaces and a grey tile on the vertical. And yes, CAN'T wait for the decking to be finished...

If you get a chance, can you snap some photos of the spa before they start doing finish work. You’ll want them for future reference if ever needed.

Today saw the return of the digger. Even though we had rain all day, the guys got all of the trenches dug for the lines to be run. November 9 - Day #26 | Nest

No bottom drain for the spa! As noted in the contract: "Structure will have a minimum of 12 high performance spa jets. All suction manifolds to be VGB compliant and will be located in the vertical wall of the footwell. This eliminates the use of unsightly floor drains."
Well that is new for me! I wonder how it is VGB compliant? Are all of those holes in the footwell part of that system?

Yup - those are flurries coming down in the attached video. Today we saw all of the plumbing and electrical conduits being installed. Another cool day and a productive one on the job site....
