New build in NW Austin suburb.

Took an extra couple of days than I expected but they are done with coping and my outdoor kitchen. Just waiting for my doors to get in next week. On to decking!

Well things slowed down last week, not much done and slowish start to this week with rain. Got the base layer done for the deck, so hoping to see rebar tomorrow and pour early next week.

Done with rebar inspection tomorrow before concrete.
Quick question. This water at the bottom of the pool is getting nasty, is it worth draining out?

Where are the "chairs" to keep the rebar off the ground? They are VERY needed. If they try to say "we will pick it up" that is a big NOPE! You and I both know it will sink back down AND they will be stepping all over it as they pour. Some use broken bricks instead of buying the "chairs" and that works. Just so long as the steel will be in the middle of the concrete!

Nasty water=mosquitoes in my area so it would be worth getting rid of for me. It really does not matter otherwise.

A few days late but the deck is complete finally.
Starting to come together!

I just love how once you’ve paid the bulk of it things slow down dramatically. Equipment is supposed to be set Wednesday, spray deck applied Thursday and Friday. Here’s hoping it doesn’t change. Maybe I’ll get plaster next week.

I faced similar issues, my project is basically a year in and I still have some final things that need to be addressed, permits closed.

I found the excavators worked 7 days a week and really hustled, the rebar team was super fast, even getting through gunite, but then things slowed to a crawl. The demand for the few plaster subs in town is through the roof, plumbers and electricians are slammed.

Well, the plumber showed up this afternoon to set the equipment. They were missing a few pieces but got it mostly done. The sad part, the pad isn’t wide enough to fit my heater on. It’s not even 30” wide. Figured most were 4 ft.
