Broken how? Won't open or won't close? If it is't opening and starving the skimmer of water, then yes you need to do something about it before you let the pump run again...it'll burn out the motor. You could probably just take the entire weir door off until you get a replacement. I ran my skimmer almost an entire year with no weir door before I knew better. It isn't ideal and doesn't do a very good job at skimming that way, but it's better than ruining your expensive equipment.
Thanks. It’s off , broken hinge. As I said in subject, the jet has air bubbles. Can I leave it for a few days as I am off on a trip. It’s not a chlorine pool, so I need to keep the pump running. Thanks again all.
