My pool is starting its third season. I had not thought much about the Weir Door on the skimmer as I have had no trouble with it, but recently a bunch of styrofoam came off of it and not it flops around a lot more. I figure I could replace the styrofoam but looking around it seems there are other weir doors that have buoyancy built and don't require styrofoam. For the cost, it seems like a good idea to get a replacement like this.
But I just wanted to check to make sure I'm getting the right thing and that there are no issues I'm overlooking.
My skimmer appears to be an Aquastar. I can't find a model number but it says for replacement parts use P/N 101-108.
I found this product on Walmart and it seems to be a replacement for Aquastar that should fit. P/N SKWD101. Can anyone confirm that this would work and that I won't need to affix styrofoam to this -> Robot or human?
My current Weir Door is a CMP product, I think. The part number is 25100-00X-X00 -- I can't find this part anywhere when I search for it.
