Over by the robot the floor was clear of debris, you can kinda see a line in the last picture where there is debris and not. Took 3 backwashes and I got most of it with the vaccum.
Pic uploader didn't work yesterday and I was buzy.
Tested 3 times over the course of the day, if I recall 8, 6.5...
I backwashed a few days before, I run my filter from 11->14 psi typically. I started yesterday at 11 psi and now I am at 13.
July 5 8:30am test and remove robot
FC 7

I think I may have broken the algae production as the fc was dropping faster before, only took 2.5 gallons of 10%. I'm...
I'm calling this my 1st slam because I've only had to bump the clorine twice in the 4+ years of tfp style of pool care, didn't really need to hold the fc to fix the problem.
I think my problem started last year of floor algae taking ahold in the creases and wrinkles of the liner and inside my...
Reading the thread and then rereading the thread I would agree you got a very stiff response and it doesn't feel good.
Sounds like your pool is mostly clear? If so you should be able to limp along and keep it clear.
1 lb of 73% cal hypo adds 3.2 fc, 2.3 ch, and 3.3 salt. Feel free to use it to...
Either take the pool out if service or the rental, you wouldn't still be renting the place if the heater broke no? Get a game camera for the pool for short term and long term a actual camera system so you can charge people when they damage your pool, such as peeing in the pool.
Boost with...
Ok ok, slow it down.
Is your cya 30? If so do not go above 12 FC!
you are losing FC due to the sun because you are going way too much above shock level if 12.
Looks like you still have algae. Keep brushing!
Do you have a vacuum? To get stuff off of floor, Fire it up scrub a 2' circle and leave it in the center for 15 mins, repeat a new spot
You probably have phosfree with clarifiers, check the bottle. Taylor sells a phosphate test. This is close to a last resort kind of thing.
Idk on the brush, I would say it can lt make your plaster smoother as it's like using sandpaper on it.
Typically a 0 ta treatment is to get rid of calcium...
Things to consider
Getting a robot, they clean very well and get crud you can't see off the floor, I'm not sure the spot you are referring to a robot can reach.
Definitely do the 20% cya treatment, you might just have to run more FC till you find the culprit.
Treat your plaster with a 0 ta...
Slam it and once all the green is gone but it's really hazy turn the pump off and wait a couple of days for the dead algae to fall to bottom, should be good then and plenty clear enough
Pool looks great, have you tried any oclt?
I would start looking in the nooks and crannies for hidden algae. Lights, ladders, stairs, any dead spots they can hide. You got this, you will win just find where it's living at.
Switch to 5 mil tests, they are not very accurate, and order a fas-dpd refill from tftestkits.net right now, then go back to 10 mil tests when you get the refill.
You got this, so many people have done what you are doing exactly, just keep at it.
Sorry I misunderstood! You can use whatever you want for your pool as long as you know what you are putting in your pool and it's effects.
Solid clorine forms have bad side effects but if you plan ahead it's definitely ok. If you get a lot of rain and/or have low ch fill water Cal hypo becomes...
Bleach is typically the cheapest clorine.
If your FC was 8 and cya 50 your not doing a slam, your just wasting time and money.
Slam the correct way per the article is the cheapest and fastest way
Pour in some bleach and brush it around to keep the green away, there are some problems with this though. Warm water temps will make it a every day or every couple day thing. If your water doesn't have cya in it it will go away from the sun or you might have too high of a FC level in your pool.
People will never believe our system untill rock bottom, so I would go with....
"Hey I got some extra time when I mess with my pool, I can do yours while I'm at it for just chemicals, min run around $20 a month."
I used the hth de filter aid from Walmart. My pump is small so I do have to babysit it and I only use it on the weekends. In a slam you will need to be around for it.
You can use the vac like you thought but when the water level drops your setup has to be perfect, any air leaks will cause you to lose prime then you start fighting it. If you start with a full pool and a primed vac, and duct tape all the connections, start the pump with circulation (put the...
