Robertson does stub plumbing only before gunite. They will come back after it is sprayed and do the plumbing to the pad. Good luck with your build.

I built a pool with a diving board. Yes there are dangers - but everything in life has dangers. Diving boards are a lot of fun and can't imagine a pool without one.

The jig depth is set by how far the board needs to overhang the water to meet the safety requirements of the dive envelope. I don't think you can just move it back to make room for something. If that makes the end of the board not overhang enough - you won't pass an inspection and will not...

I had to email Pentair to get a table with lumens for their fixtures. They may have it on their website now - but if you can't find them email the vendors and ask for it. For Pentair - the color microbrites are 500 lumens.

I don't think I have ever seen rebar capped on any work site here in TX other than the ones on highway projects/big commercial. Definitely don't see it for pool builds or small work. Not that it isn't a great idea and a liability issue but so is the whole build site.

Seems crazy to me... I would just get the pool replastered. Don't do epoxy paint never going to last as long as plaster.

So the pool hasn't had water in it for a year?

There are really very few standards in residential pool construction especially for stuff like this. At the end of the day if you aren’t happy with it have them fix it before allowing the plastering to occur.

You mean a color tint to the sealer? Interesting, don't know if I have seen that done but makes sense.

I would be concerned about the uneven spacing from the edges. But hard to tell for sure from the pics. My install was very consistent and they had some sort of jig to lay down the mortar base as they moved it along the edge to guarantee exactly the same spacing from the edges.

They are definitely set back from the edge. See pic below.

You should get a core drill and put in some nicheless lights like microbrites. You will be happy you did if you want lighting... it will transform the pool at nighttime. Since the deck is gone and you are already working on some of the returns other things - this is the time to do it.

Only way a pool is more green than blue is if it has brown/sand tones in the finish or if it is dirty...

Is the dark line in the pipe a crack? If you show that to the builder they still claim it is fixed? How do they explain it if that is a crack?

Our pool just has two 4x4 gang boxes with 3 conduit runs into each from the lights in my pool... then they are tied together to the 12 volt transformer... sort like these things...

I would switch out to microbrites or what ever lights your automation supports...
