iAqualink Losing Connection When Making Change

I have been having the same issue for months. Called Jandy a bunch of times. No luck. Even had them replace the iaqualink antenna. Didn’t help. I am convinced it’s a software issue on their end and I hope they figure it out soon. Very annoying. FWIW, I’m using the app on an iPhone X. What device...

Jandy Lights Cycle each time to get to new color

There's no way to go directly from one color to another. However, I did find a solution to the cycling every time they turn on. It was really bothering me and I also had the feeling that switching on/off so many times was causing unnecessary wear. The way I solved it was by changing the light...

Best way to clean calcium from glass tiles on waterfall?

Does anyone have a recommendation on how to get calcium buildup off of glass tiles that run along a spa with waterfall flow over into the pool? The tiles are smooth and glossy, so I am concerned about using a pumice stone or anything too abrasive. I don’t want to end up with a bunch of fine...

iAqualink Losing Connection When Making Change

I have been having this exact same issue for several months now. The folks at Jandy have been helpful but have not yet solved my problem. I am having a company come out next week to work on it. I'll report back. It's not a wi-fi issue, from what I can tell, because the signal strength at the...

Raypak 85kBTU vs vs Raypak 119kBTU vs Hayward 125kBTU

When I first got the advice "buy the biggest heat pump you can afford" I thought that sounded really flip and possibly misinformed. However, what I've learned over time is you really can't go wrong going larger with a heat pump. It comes down to how long the heater will need to run to get you...

    Pentair Intellilevel - Feedback?

I agree. Another creative option I've seen to avoid having the autofill pot and cover in your pool deck is to run the PVC fill line over to somewhere near your equipment pad or other less obtrusive location, and locate the whole assembly there. As long as the run is unobstructed and the mounting...

    LED Nicheless lights incorrect colors

Are these the Jandy nicheless lights? If so, it's a very common problem. The blue color stops working properly and throws off any color that has a mix of blue in it. Jandy has been very good about replacing them, but I've gone through at least 5 sets in less than two years. My understanding is...

    iAquaLink still down for anyone?

Figured it out. Had to recycle my router and it came back online. Alls well. - - - Updated - - - It came up when I opened the app on my iPhone.

    iAquaLink still down for anyone?

My iAqualink automation has been showing offline for the last couple days. I saw a maintenance notice today that said it would be back up by noon or so eastern but it’s 6pm and still down. Nothing has changed with my WiFi or set up otherwise. Just wondering if anyone else still having trouble as...

    Three position valve actuator?

Success! Found that dip switch 3 was down. Put it up and spillover option apppeared. Adjusted the cam in the return JVA and had to reverse the plugs because they were backward (intake vs return.) It’s perfect now! Thank you!!! -Chad

    Three position valve actuator?

That makes a lot of sense! I’m looking all over for a spillover mode in iAquaLink but can’t seem to find it. Can anyone suggest where this setting might be located? It’s driving me nuts.

    Three position valve actuator?

Thanks Jim. The smart JVA looks like a viable option. Dodger, the waterfall is a spa spillover. Not independent feature.

    Three position valve actuator?

Is there such thing as a valve actuator that can be set for three different positions with iAquaLink automation? I have a pool with a spa and waterfall into the pool. I want to be able to have three settings. One for isolated spa only. One for partial spa and pool split for the waterfall to...

Dark blue fiberglass Pool with Tanning Ledge, Should I do Bubblers?

I would definitely suggest blubbers on the shelf, but not the lighted ones. I had them in my original design, but removed them just prior to construction (and glad I did.) Read a lot of experiences from others saying that the lights fail quickly and are not the easiest things to replace. I opted...

Jandy Color LED nicheless greenish/yellow color showing through.

I couldn't agree with you more. In hindsight, I'd probably have done all nicheless lights rather than 2 and 2. Not only do they look super streamlined and barely noticeable in the daytime, they cost less than the large lights so you can add more of them and better balance your source of light at...

Jandy Color LED nicheless greenish/yellow color showing through.

Hi Erik. I have two of those in my pool, along with two of the full size LED lights. The nicheless ones do put off a small bit of yellowish/green light but it doesn't seem quite as noticeable as what's in your first few pictures and only shows very close to the light. I'll take another look...

What do I need for pool automation with Jandy equipment?

Hi Brian. I have a very similar setup to what your building. I built my pool and spa last year with very similar Jandy components. Same filter, same chlorinator, same lights, same automation (well, except the spa control). A couple thoughts... 1. Jandy Nicheless lights: I have two of the exact...

Replace Jandy Lights? New Guy Question

Others will be more helpful related to the compatibility, but one thing I'll caution is that there may be variation between the colors of the lights if you have two lights from different manufacturers. I made the mistake, when building my pool, of having a Jandy nichless light installed in my...

iAqualink randomly turning on heater after losing wi-fi connection.

Updating for the benefits of the archive. I figured out the problem. Stupid me had at one time set a schedule to turn the heater on at 1pm one day that I knew I was going to want to use the pool that afternoon. I somehow overlooked this when I was checking schedules during my troubleshooting...

iAqualink randomly turning on heater after losing wi-fi connection.

I have a very strange and intermittent issue with my iAqualink. We added a Raypak heatpump this fall and, on several occasions, I've come home or pulled up the app and seen the pool temperature up higher than I set it and the heater running, despite showing it being off in the iAqualink app, on...

Is it worth re-configuring equipment pad to reduce the number of 90 degree angles?

Thanks. I don't like the aesthetics of it but would not reconfigure for looks. It's really not that bad. Good to know the 90s are not a big deal.

Is it worth re-configuring equipment pad to reduce the number of 90 degree angles?

Hi folks. I recently added a heater to my pool. When I was having the pool built, I was explicit that I would be adding a heater very shortly thereafter and for them to configure the equipment accordingly. Well, it does not seem they did a very good job of planning this. Long story short, as...

New Raypak 133k BTU Heat Pump through HP6 error.

I had a tech come out and look. As it turns out, the 3 way valve was installed backwards and as a result there was very little water making it through the heater. Once the valve was reversed and sending the flow through the heater, the issue was solved and it heats up 2-3x faster. Thanks all!

Jet pressure after adding heat pump.

Thanks all. I adjusted the valve to be slightly closed but on the opposite side. All makes sense now why it wasn't operating to optimal performance. So psyched now. Spa gains 20 degrees per hour. Impressive, to me, for an electric heat pump!

Jet pressure after adding heat pump.

Here's the valve position he set it to. The inside pipe closest to the heater comes from the filter, the outside is to the returns.

Jet pressure after adding heat pump.

I had a new 133K Raypak heat pump installed last week. When I first started using it I begin getting a high-pressure error when the spa would get hot and the unit would shut itself down. It was also doing a few other odd things so I had a service tech come out to look at it. As it turned out...
