My pool was finished in May 2021. I recently noticed that there is white scaling above my water line. Can / should I be doing anything to clean it up? I tried rubbing it off by hand but it is not going anywhere.

You can try a Pool Blok pumice stone. They are made soft enough to not damage the tile/grout but hard enough to, with "elbow grease" remove what you see.
Following up on this earlier thread with same name, I have some white scaling deposits above the water line. I tried the pumice stone suggested without luck.
I had a pool guy out to install a SWG for a salt water conversion. He suggested a 50/50 mix of water + muriatic acid in a spray bottle, squirt it on, and it should run right off. Good idea or bad?
