So, I am looking for recommendations on a 200 btu natural gas heater for an above ground pool. Which manufacturer is the best?

We really don't endorse brands, but if you read around the forum, Rheem/Raypak, and Pentair seem to get the best reviews.
I have a Rheem and have had zero issues with mine. My buddy with a Pentair not far from me...same thing, and he has a Spa on his as well. Take your pick, but its hard to go wrong with either of these.

which ever heater you buy, i'd try to get one that was manufactured in the same year or so...i just realized the one I bought was installed in 2011 but manufactured in 2008!
Go with a Raypak as they are the most reliable and straight forward unit on the market today.
mntbikingontario, sounds like whoever you bought it thru doesn't sell lots of heaters are the don't rotate their inventory very well. Besides, it doesn't matter on the manufacture date as it does on the install date unless of course the manufacturer had some big changes between those two dates.
