Yeah, it just read over 8.2 still. Should I just go ahead and add the bleach that poolmath recommended? I remember charlie r. told me to add 5 bottles back on post #46. So should I add the 5 bottles or should I add only 230oz like pool math says I should?
No you need to keep working on the PH. Test, dose, let pump run for 15 mins and retest. You have to get it down.

This is the fourth time I've added MA. Third test, color is still showing the same dark pink. Hoping for better results in about 20 mins.....sigh..... Lol

Ok. Just checking. Keep up the MA additions, pH will come down. Check TA once you see the pH in the readable range just to be safe.

I recommend taking a picture of your pool looking down at the steps in the same place each day and then post them up. It will help tremendously to let you see the progress you are/will be making. Just looking at the pool, you may not see much difference, but looking at the pictures side by side will tell of a success story in the making.

Over the last three days, I have been through an entire bottle of MA. the color in the tester of the pH has not made an ounce of change...recommendations on what to do now? Keep at it? I have one more whole bottle.
In PoolMath, your now is 8.2. What are you using for your target?
Also, what strength of MA are you using? Do you have that % correct in PoolMath?

7.5 for my target, 20oz is what pool math is telling me to use. Been going by that and doing 20oz every time.
I know we told you not to add chlorine until your pH was down... Since it has been so long, add a half a jug if you haven't already. But stay focused on the pH.
How does your water look now? If it's cloudy, not sparkly, target 7.2. That will still be in a "safe" range.
