Help with SLAM

Sure, put a cup or two in the skimmer, pump off, scrub, scrub, scrub. Pump on. Dose rest to pool as normal.

An autofill is a skimmer like unit with a float. A water source from your house is connected. When your water level drops, like a toilet bowl, the float drops and turns on the water to refill the pool. How do you add water when needed (when it is low)? Maybe look around for another 6-12" cover around your pool that is not the laminars or skimmers.

Probably, in IL, you don't have one. More common in arid locations where evaporation is an issue.

I use a hose if I need to add water. Next to my skimmer there is a lid, it looks like the skimmer lid. If you open it, it is a big dark empty tube, tunnel to china. I don’t know what it is lol. I figured it had something to do with drain. I can take pic tmrw.

ooooooh, we have a mystery. Maybe we found the honey hole.

Do you have ANY information from the pool build?

Yeah, that is not algae. It comes out like a slime ball. I wish I took a picture of it. Do you have the ultra fine filters for the robot?

I'm fighting the oak catkins.

Your pool is gorgeous. I'm jealous.
I have the filters that came with the Nautilus CC. I think they are fine.

Ok. So I lost a bit over night. I’m telling myself may it could have only been 1 if I measured wrong😂. SLAM timer set for 2 hours. Low on reagent! Took pictures of my hole to…. Africa’s was it? Big dry hole. Rick at th bottom. deep as the pool, dry, doesn’t even look like attached to anything so I have no idea. We have a self contained waterfall over there. And then the waterfall that circulates from the pool. They look like one, but they are not. I don’t think this has anything to do with those. The deep end of our pool is set a little lower in the ground, so it isn’t level, because we have our auto cover roll back under a removable lid. Picture attached.

Krista - it looks like u have the nautilus cc plus - u may want to add that to your signature (the nautilus cc is a differently designed robot)
The filters that come with it are just a mesh.
The fine filters are pleated & catch/filter tiny debris like a cartridge filter-

There are some cheaper non oem ones but not sure of their fit or performance. YMMV
I have the nautilus cc (no plus) & just ordered the fine filter - the one for it is just a single complete basket that would not fit your bot. Maytronics makes things a tad confusing lol 😂

Can you scan them, or are there lots. Looking for an equipment list or spec sheet or design drawing. Anything to get a sense of plumbing, layout and equipment. Trying to find something where Al*ae can hide.

Ok. I’ll get what I have. In meantime would you look at my log and notes please.

This may help with consistent results without SmartStir...SmartStir changed my life.

  1. Rinse and fill sample tube to 10ml mark.
  2. Use teeny blue scooper (hold the flat end) to put one heaping scoop R-0870 powder into sample, swirl to mix. (OK if not all dissolves.) Sample should turn pink. If it "flashes" pink then the pink disappears, add more R-0870. If there's never a hint of pink at all, skip step 3; FC=0.
  3. Add R-0871 one drop at a time, swirling the sample continuously, 1-2 sec between drops. Stop when sample turns colorless. Multiply #drops by 0.5 to get FC. (If it turns pink again after a few seconds, don't worry about it.)
  4. Add 5 drops R-0003, swirl to mix. If it remains colorless, CC=0. If it turns pink, again add drops of R-0871 (swirling continuously) until it turns colorless. Multiply drops by 0.5 to get CC.
CYA is the only one we shake.

Is this what I should order. I love this idea. Is this all I need?

Ok. I took pump basket out to empty and tried to look in pipes. Hard. I can see some gunk. Tried to scrub. Nothing fits. Is this normal. Reference picture.
