If it is scale, it should be coming off. Have scraped some of it off and tested it with acid?

You are using the web version. I use the app. The web version assumes a level of salt. So your number is fine.

Scrape some off. Put in a throw away plastic dish. Put a drop of acid on it. If it fizzes violently, it is calcium carbonate.

The reason I use the web version of pool math is i can't figure out how to do anything on the app. Just installed it a couple of days ago.

App is easier for me! Try it. Enter a full set of test results. Save them by touching the Check mark. Go to Overview. Touch a parameter. See how you can change the goal level to see what you need to add.

Muriatic acid. What you use in the pool to lower pH.

Lucky you. I add acid at least twice a week. You can use white vinegar. Will not be as violent but will bubble.
