Vinyl pool - 13k gal.
I recently bought a Taylor test kit since strip tests were all over the place. Need help as my wife has a pool party planned in 2 weeks.

Pool was green when I opened it so I shocked a lot and vacuumed until it wasn't green anymore. Was still cloudy so I got the water tested at the pool store while I waiting for my test kit to arrive. FC was 14 and CYA was 180, so was told to take out chlorine floaters, don't shock and wait a week. Did that but kept vacuuming, backwash and filling the pool back up to lower CYA. It got clearer, but had small dirt patches that I tried vacuuming but just floated away.

Now - Water is still cloudy and I can barely makeout the bottom of the pool when looking directly down. I added floc yesterday into the skimmer per directions and backwashed today, but still cloudy.

I would vacuum to waste to get all the FLOC out of the pool.

When you finish that, follow the SLAM process to clear the pool. Link-->SLAM Process

GO!
