I would leave it just like it is! I like the "old" one but LOVE the new one! So much usable space inside and outside the pool.

Lol! For the moment, yes, I'm stable! Closing our pool loan this morning. However, I may "lose it" over picking stone, tile and trying to convince my dear hubby that we need to put our existing patio furniture in storage during the build so it doesn't get destroyed, and that since I saved us literally THOUSANDS of $$ getting our utilities moved for free- we can do a couple of necessary things, like a couple of deck chairs, a deck box and gutters around the back of the house to direct the rain run off from eroding the new soil the PB will use to grade the yard. I just don't get why he can't think like meI was a little concerned about that 'playing with rope' comment at first. I'll assume you are still stable. Please tell us otherwise!
Love your plan, looks like it fits your house perfectly and maximizes your space.
So it IS really going to happen! NICE! Have money=get pool!
Was your hand shaking when you signed??

Congratulations. Can't wait to see this started.
So exciting! Yes your steps are extending into the pool. If you plan to make any changes and if you have an HOA, do it now before its approved/submitted to the HOA. Ours was submitted. Then we decided on changes. We were informed by HOA that we would have to resubmit the entire change and go back through approval which could take 30-45 days. We didn't want another delay. So we did not make our changes. I often regret that. So, think carefully about the steps and placement before submission to city and HOA.
I would recess steps and shelf out and we wish we had insisted upon shorter steps. Out PB talked us out of it. Check out Suz steps. They are awesome. Good luck. You will stress some. It's normal. We second guessed our decisions. I still do. It's a lot of money. But your design is lovely either way. No one uses our sunshelf or the bubbler. I like the look. But again wish I'd used the area for less steep steps. [emoji3]

Janny-did someone from your HOA actually come out and inspect the pool?? Just curious...
Denise, congrats on your pool loan signing! So you will start after the first of the year?
