First Ever Pool - Above ground bestway 4.2m slice of heaven

More shopping... :) But this wasn't online.... I rang my local Hydroponics store.... Yes Hydroponic store... I have known the owners for years... They have extruded aluminium tube..

Its 25mm x 25mm and its super strong and super light... And the best part? ITS ONLY $8 A METRE!!!!!!! I need about 20 metres as the outdoor screen is huge 5m x 4m screen... :) So about $160..... So I've managed to make a GIANT projector screen for $220 including the stretchy screen....

Thanks Kimkats.... :) Due to the weather being so horrible, the front yard will have to wait a little longer.... So in the interim I'm just buying everything I need as I go.... The projector has taken a front seat in my project as I can't do anything more till I set the pool up.... And even then I still need to decide on a filter and pump, I haven't bought my hoses yet, and I'm still mulling the plumbing over....

I need to replace the pool ladder with a resin one, buy the foam for underneath the pool, a few bags of river rocks and I think I'm pretty much done.... Oh I need a tank for my Stenner Peristaltic pump, but I won't need that till I start putting chemicals in the pool.... The solar will be bought in September when we fill the pool.....

And last but not least... I'll order my TF100 through myUS......

Note to self.... The Outdoor Stretchy screen needs a frame that's 5m wide by 3.5m high..... So 17.5m in total... Luckily I went back to the listing on ebay and checked the measurements.... So that's $140 in total.....

The inside screen, needs a frame that's 1.45m high x 2.6m wide, the diagonal measurement will be 2.95m.... :)

Here is my screen calculator..... http://www.projectorcentral.com/Acer-H5380BD-projection-calculator-pro.htm?add=8139

You just enter your particulars about your projector and it gives you roughly the screen size... Awesome....Just like the Pool Calculator...

Hi all, check this out... My incredibly talented sister in law made this cake for my beautiful little boy.....

..

Here's the party room.... It was raining today, so the kids couldn't play outside....

Dave is Megamind, and his Mum is Samson's Fairy God Mother.... :)

And here is the birthday boy..... He had a great day.....

Really tired, I need a hot bath..... :)

Thank you Casey, Kimkats and Bmoreswim! We make a big fuss on Samsons birthday as it too hard to take him anywhere with lots of people! Hubby had a great time too!

The look on Sammys face when he saw the decorations and the cake was PRICELESS :)

It's absolutely freezing today were supposed to get to a top of 7 degrees Celsius :-( and it was the same yesterday so a Frozen themed party was very apt!

Do you want to build a snowman? Lol :).

G'day all.. Not much pool progress, but indoor theatre is coming along nicely.... The projector is next... I also have to re arrange the lounge room....

This was a surprisingly easy DIY build... Super simple actually... :)

Frame laying on the material... :)

Finished product... :) Very proud of us....

Thanks Abigail... :) I can't get over how cheap it was to build... Hubby is already measuring up the bedroom wall so I can build another one...

Cost of materials:

Felt pads for back of frame - $9.25
Screws - $3.50
4 x L Shaped brackets - $3.75
4 x L Shaped brackets large - $5.85
5.2m of 75mm x 25mm maple wood - $16.90
4.2m of 50mm x 25mm maple wood - $9.05
Blockout fabric - $42.00 (including delivery)
Total = $90.30 :)

Yup, I grabbed a staple gun from Home Hardware, it was about $30.00, another tool for my toolbox.... :) Its a pretty tidy job actually..... I ordered the projector last night, its finally back in stock, so it should be here in about 2 weeks.... :)

It will be great in the lounge room, but I honestly can't wait to get the projector outside and watch movies while we're in the pool.....

Dreaming about summer... Just 4 months to go.....

Ok! Very pleased with myself right now! The indoor theatre is almost complete! If the weather would get above freezing I could do more outside but I imagine the ground to be rock hard right now!

So since I am housebound here is my home theatre set up! Dave is going to the hardware store to get super glue and a shelf for the projector! Super glue for the rear speaker as Samson snapped it off at the base!
