My union broke and while trying to get it off pipe started to crack from my salt gen. What’s best corse to fix this? I was thinking curing pipe and using a 2.5 inch coupler.

You can also just replace one union and adjust the other side with 2 couplings.

Is this pipe cracked?

If yes, you might need to replace the T for the flow switch as well.

Cut out the flow switch T and the cell union and replace both.

Cut at the red line, install new union tailpiece at the green dot, install the new flow switch T at the blue dot and install another union tailpiece after the flow switch T.

Remember to install the Nut before gluing the tailpiece.

Just Out of curiosity why wouldn’t a 2.5 inch coupler work if I cut it right at the break and put the new Hayward union connector for the Tcell.

Cut the pipe right at the break just before the “T”. Install a coupler right at the cut before the “T” the put my union connector for the salt cell into the coupler.
