I just replaced a 1 1/2” Hayward pump with a 2” Pentair Intelliflo pump. I have 2” to 1-1/2” reducing union on the pump. My plan was to run a straight pipe up to a 90 and a threaded union into the filter valve.
I’m struggling to find a union to go into the filter valve. It seems like the Hayward has proprietary threads. Any recommendations for a PN that will get me from 1-1/2” Hayward male threads to 1-1/2” slip PVC?
The pool store gave me CMP 21059-150 but the threads are way too tight and it feels like I’m going to crack my valve before it’s half way in.
The other union that is connected to the filter valve is Hayward PN SP-1480, but I haven’t been able to find the exact one online.
