High winds can blow organics into the pool. The more organics the more the FC is consumed. So to answer your question. Wind doesn't affect the OCLT, the material blowing with the wind affects your OCLT.

You went from 22.5 last night to 22.0. If those are correct, you passed the OCLT!My pool water didn’t pass the overnight test. Lost about 3 ppm.We have had really bad winds, can winds affect the OCLT?
I didn’t add any LC yesterday, as I am trying to lower the FC to 20 ppm.
FC as of 4:50 am was 22 (last night FC22.5)

Not that I can see. I can visibly see dirt residual on the tanning bed area but it can be easily brushed into pool for vacuuming.
I need to get some o-ring lube so my husband can rinse down the filters. They were previously rinsed out mid July. Hoping that helps?
Also, (apologies that I forgot 10 pages deep), are you using a smart stir to test ? it helps the accuracy greatly.
Besides that, there is tons of human error in play as well. You couldn’t hit 40 basketball free throws in a row anymore than you could make 40+ perfect drops.
Either one or both of these could easily explain the OCLT. Add in some organics being blown in by the wind and you might be sitting pretty.
I’d continue letting it drift down and see if it holds at a more reasonable 8 FC. That way you only have to make 16 perfectly repeatable drops. You won’t lose ground if the SLAM isn’t over, it will just be a slight pause / slowing in the killing action.

I use a long 1/2 in pvc pipe to draw water out of my pool. Never need to stick my arm in it. (But my water does not irritate my skin either so I don't need the pipe. I just use it so my arm doesn't get wet LOL)
I just brushed the walls and floor of pool. I saw dirty residue as I brushed but not algae or green residue. More like dirt.easily brushed off.
Well for the 8 years of having serviced twice a week. I would always be itchy in our water and even after. Eyes would get irritated or be super red after. I just always assumed that was normal since that is what I was told by our service people.

Yep! It’s getting easier to unlearn the little I did know about pools. Never in my mind did I ever think I would take on that responsibility. I had even bought Chlorine Neutralizer (before finding TFP to lower the FC because at 5-6ppm I was told it was too highOk. Throw out everything you knew or felt. And they sold me Leslie’s Weekly which I only used once before finding TFP the next day. When I found the algae water in the auto valve skimmer and being told how clear our water was really convinced me that the only one who is going to really care about our pool is me. I’m still learning and I appreciate everyone’s support and advice. I can add another title to my hat on top of everything I do, I am also a home taught yorkie groomer lol, and I learned how to fade my son’s hair during 2020 COVID. I know right ha ha.
One more thing not mentioned, you can have a morning or mid day swim and just get dressed and go about your day without the "chlorine reek" you've been accustomed to.

That is not good. Swimming should be a pleasant experience. You will get there.
