A Houston Pool Build Inside the Loop

I think the Colorado goes the best. It's very pretty!
I think I like the bottom glass tile sample better. I know subway tile is very "in" now but I would tend to do the more classic squares so the pool stays timeless looking and isn't stamped as a particular decade. However, any that you choose are going to be BEAUTIFUL!!!

An update.

We are in the slow part of the build. Electrical passed inspection. The plumber will be out tomorrow to hook up the gas line to the fire pit. We may have him replace the existing line from the meter to the house, but stop the new line at the deck because we'd have to tear up the deck to get it to the house and we just aren't ready for that yet! Once that's hooked up then another inspection and I think all trenches can get filled in.

And Kim, I will be ordering my TFP test kit soon. Should I get the XL? I know I should get the stirrer, but what salt tester should I get? I remember seeing 2 kinds.

SO cool! With a brand new pool I think the TF-100 will be plenty for you. The XL is really more for SLAMs. I am willing to bet you will not use all of the regents in your kit over a years time since you are starting off with TFP!

I cannot say on the salt tests. I will be watching to see what the others say so I can learn with you.

I like the other tile better. But I would like to go out to NPT and take a look at their tile just to make sure I don't like anything better. We are supposed to meet with our pool designer this weekend to look over tiles and stone we tentatively have selected. He is supposed to bring a sample of what he thinks our existing pavers are. We cannot remember the name, but know they are Pavestone. Hubby has left a couple of messages with the original installer (10+ yrs ago, I think) but no return call. I won't decide on a stone or tile selection until we have that resolved.
