A Houston Pool Build Inside the Loop

Watering yesterday became more difficult. Came home to find a lot of dirt in my pool from the plumber. I sent a pic to the PM and within 5 minutes the plumber called to say he'd be there in the morning to clean up. The sewer rerouted has to be inspected and the inspector should be out this a.m.

Inspector for sewer didn't get out until the afternoon (it passed ) (gotta love the pun!) so plumber will be out tomorrow morning to clean it up. I will be texting the PM if it isn't cleaned up well!

Oh and hubby just told me the plumber said we could just leave a check for him (this wasn't included in the pool contract, but we used the PBs plumber). Hubby basically said no, we'll wait to see how it looks when he's done.

I have never thought about the pad! I bet there is VERY few pads that get water so I am sure it will be fine. I will also be adding to lightly mist any patios and such as that has be said to help with the curing.

Look at that dirt!!!

Dirt means there is a happy pool in your future. Learn to love the dirt!!!

Just be thankful the dirt you love won't be there for long. Along with dirt comes mosquito swamps, random trash throughout your yard and neighbors, water lines getting turned off randomly, rain that turns the dirt into mud, etc... It is such fun!

Thanks ummm for those great words of encouragement! :D

We do have some plumbing and no longer have a sewer pipe running through the pool. It looks like the pipes at the pad are nice and straight. Also it rained last night so no pool watering needed this a.m. Will post some plumbing pics later.

We went looking at tile and coping today and picked up samples-will post pics soon, I promise!- but really need a sample of the Blue Surf to see if it will all go together. Do I just call PebbleTec or do I call the gunite company that installs it (they did my gunite)?

Hi Marla, my experience is that you have to go to your PB for samples. I tried to get the directly and I wasn't successful.
