I have a Hayward Goldline Aqua Plus. It is not keeping time anymore and I was told I needed to get a new circuit board. The door says pro logic, but the unit says Goldline aqua plusWhich circuit board do I purchase?C31157CA-E8F7-4457-8DE0-55EE4A0017AB.jpeg4C2C40A1-EEF9-4ADC-A1A2-C7FBD1B2FB62.jpeg

Welcome to TFP.

Open up the case and look at the board. There should be labels with part numbers on the board.

AquaPlus bundles ProLogic with the SWG system.

Goldline introduced AquaLogic in 2003. Hayward acquired Goldline in August of 2004. Hayward discontinued AquaLogic in 2008 and replaced it with Prologic.

Aqualogic uses GLX-PCB-MAIN.

Aquaplus is Prologic. The correct board is GLX-PCB-PRO

When I contacted Hayward a month ago and waited 2.5 hours to speak to someone they said GLX-PCB-PRO
Henceforth the confusion. Are you saying just order the exact same one that is in the unit right now and not order the PRO? Right here I have two conflicting answers. :( On the door is reads Pro Logic. PL-PLUS. 3L13149-1461203

The board looks like GLX-PCB-MAIN but the AquaPlus is ProLogic, which takes a GLX-PCB-PRO. So, something doesn't add up.

The door has some stuck on labels. Under the labels should be some printed information about the serial number and model number.

I suspect that the board was replaced with the wrong board at some point. The original board was a GLX-PCB-PRO.

I think that the stands that hold the display are different spacing for the two different boards.

Does the display sit correctly on the plastic stands?

Now that you say that, I did have to have the board replaced before..... It seems to sit fine in the housing. I’ll have to check about the plastic stands you are talking about. Don’t think I noticed them before. All I know is that the board that is currently in the housing is exactly the same as the GLX-pCB-MAIN. The the serial number matches. If I’m going to replace it myself, I would need to follow exactly what is showing and how everything is lined up otherwise I’m in trouble and I would have to have a professional come out to replace it.

I just read a thread from last lear and they were saying a capacitor on left top corner like a double battery in wrap. That you can purchase on ebay for about 3$ and it took 5 mins to replace it. After replacement you can run it for 1 hour and it will charge the battery - then your back in business.... Anyone try this???

The original board was GLX-PCB-PRO. It was replaced with a GLX-PCB-MAIN, which is the wrong board.

They are pretty similar, so that's why it still works. Replacing either should be about the same as most wiring is the same.

I think that the plastic stands for the display board might be slightly different spacing where they connect to the board.

You can check to see if the display board holes line up exactly with the stands or if they're off.

If only the circuit board was replaced, then the GLX-PCB-PRO should be the correct new board.

Replacing the components on the board can probably work if you're good at replacing components on circuit boards.

You can probably find someone local who can do it if you get the parts.

I know this is probable stupid but...When I compare the PRO and MAIN side by side, they look completely different. How would I know where to put the wires? And if I choose to replace with the same board will there be a problem in the future?

All of the wiring is labeled. So, you would just have to match the wires to the same labeled terminals.

It's pretty straightforward. The terminals say the wire color that goes to the terminal.

If only the main board was replaced earlier, I would use the GLX-PCB-PRO board as that's the original board made for the box.

Does the local display sit correctly on the plastic stands?

Here's a video that shows the wires on the GLX-PCB-PRO.

Awesome! I’ll watch that video later. Will the case that goes on with the buttons fit? I need to find the right name. Hayward Aqua Plus Local Pro Logic P4 Display | GLX-PL-LOC-P-4? I will also write on that wires where it came from. BTW where are the plastic stands your talking about? I put the unit back together until I get the board. Aree you talking about those white plastic columns, 4 of them. On my first photo above, I see them. Are they what your talking about?
