Nearly zero psi. Return flow looks normal. I just replaced pressure gauge and washed the cartridge filters today but didn’t solve the issue. My pump basket is clean. What else should I check? Please
Hi, Thanks for your respond. That was my first thread. I didn’t know how to reply back. Anyway, that filter and pump were installed over 3 years ago. The whole time was fine until 2-3 weeks ago. It happened suddenly. When I looked at the pressure 2-3 weeks ago and found zero psi. I thought faulty pressure gauge so I bought a new one and replaced it. I also washed the filters same time. I cleaned the pump basket. But still zero psi after all done. Thank you for your help!Welcome to the forum!
I assume it is not normal after cleaning the filters to have low pressure?
The filters may not be properly installed and allowing water to bypass going through them. Filling out your signature with your pool type, size, equipment, etc helps us help you.
I suggest you read ABC's of Pool Water Chemistry.
What was the clean pressure before? But still zero psi after all done.
About 10psi with clean cartridges. What was the clean pressure before?
Jim,J,
If the flow back to the pool feels normal, then it has to be a gauge issue. Since the gauge itself is new, then I suspect that the small hole that goes between the gauge and the inside of the filter is clogged. Take the gauge out and run water through the line under the gauge forcing it back into the filter.
With a single speed pump, your gauge should never read zero when the pump is on.
Thanks,
Jim R.
