What's your current pool temp?

Starting the year off nice and Chilly 45F. Pool is covered and I'm wondering where it will bottom out. Is this the lowest we will go?
Not sure on the exact temp, but I've got about 4 inches of ice so I'm thinking it's pretty cold !!
Jeff wins for 2015 so far. Unless anyone has thicker ice. :lol:

Pat, I don't have skates, but I do have ice fishing poles. Maybe next year I'll stock it at the end of the swim season. Then I can use it over the winter when it freezes. It could be a dual purpose pool !
I'm sure somebody out there has thicker ice than mine. Might be a good thread to start. "How Thick Is Your Ice ? ".
I'd be tempted if I had ice on my pool, but hopefully I won't have a need to start that one. By all means, go ahead.

My ice has got to be thicker than 4 inches. I'd go check but that would require donning a full set of insulated bibs, jacket, boots, hat, mitten, layers underneath and possibly a face mask.
Current outdoor temp is 3 degrees, light wind and if you know anything about low temps and wind, a light breeze makes it unbearable. 30s later this week!

I'm glad i dont have weather like that, altough I wish it would snow here once in a while. Temp is 52 degrees as of yesterday, last year 49 was as low as it got.
I wish it would snow here too. We have the icy temperatures and usually the snow to play in, but we have barely a dusting on the ground. Makes me feel a little cheated. Cold weather to keep the snow, but no snow to keep or have fun in!

Spa is artificially 95ºF tonight....but the bulk pool is 56ºF. No ice here. The 74º temperature this afternoon makes it possible to heat-n-use the spa. I love Houston winters!
But hey, bust out the ice-skates!Mine bottomed out at 40 a few weeks ago but today it's at 55. My water test collection arm says it's still too cold to go swimming.
