What's your current pool temp?

Winter chill today. 35 outside, pool down to 63. I guess solar blankets don't perform miracles! They're nice in that I can just sweep leaves off. Will be working on adding a heat pump over the next month or two for a nice early spring start up.

Yeah. Usually our first few snowfalls of the year are an inch or two that blow around a bit and melt. Then the snow accumulates and sticks by late December. This year, kind of like last year... we got dumped on in early November and it stuck. We got 11+ inches of the stuff on Monday. Heavy and wet. 2 hours clearing my own driveway. 2 more helping neighbors. At least I'm headed to Florida for a week+ tomorrow!

72 was the coldest I could stand. After I did the "slowly I turned, step by step, inch by inch" act to get in the water, it really wasn't too bad. Worst part was opening my eyes under water. Felt like my eyeballs were gonna freeze.

My window is small for the next couple of days with lows in the high 30s, so I'm losing most of what I'm gaining but I it's supposed to start warming up by Friday and stay that way for about a week. My plan is just to keep the water from dropping so that by Friday it will be easier to bring up to my desired temp. If I can pull this off it will be the best Thanksgiving weekend ever!!!
