What's your current pool temp?

Oh water was up to 61 two days ago but the cold is back to knock it back to the low 50's or high 40's. I know others up in the northeast US are more ready than i am but lets get over this cold weather. We only enjoyed the pool about a month before it got too cold. Still use the spa once a week but i want to get in the big pool.

I havent seen my pool in 2 weeks. It looks like one big mtn of snow right now. Over 2 feet of snow on the ground and with the drifts around the pool, the snow on top is starting to blend in with the snow on the ground.

So i'm guessing its frozen pretty solid. -17 here the other morning. But it could be insulated so well from all the snow that its starting to thaw out by now...lol

DANG! That is some serious weather you guys have been getting up there this year.

-22 here in upstate NY this morning. This is my first winter with pool. Must be frozen d/t the consistent low temps. Do have question maybe someone can answer. Should I try to get the accumulated 4-5 inches of snow off my above ground pool cover at some point, or just let it melt when warmer weather arrives? If so, how would I even go about removing it? Thanks for any advice in advance.

4-5 inches isn't all that much. You could just let it melt and use a cover pump in the spring to remove most of the water off the pump. If you want to remove it a push broom or leaf blower is what I've used in the past.
As for my pool water temp, well it's been the coldest Feb. on record. I wouldn't be surprised if it wasn't frozen 2ft. Another round of snow and ice today into tomorrow morning. It's already started.

In let mine melt and when I'm ready, I take my telescopic pole and attach the sweeper head and hose, push it into the middle of the pool cover n tur it upside down. I then fill the hose with water. Once filled, I drag the hose out of the pool, over the side of the wall until it starts flowing on its own due to gravity. It takes a half hour to pull all that water off the cover. No electricity needed!

56 degrees, according to the nifty wireless thermometer I just bought (and also the old glass one); up from 42 at the beginning of the year. Moved here last June, so don't know when it'll be swimmable. Calling a guy to trim back the 2 trees that conspired to kill the temp when the sun started angling lower in September, then might put the solar cover on in a couple weeks and see if we can get in by mid-April.
