I'm tired of it too DV. My pool is never going to warm up. Made it to 73 again though. Wait...........

No...BOO!! We need to warm up already. I need to check and adjust my pH today...maybe the FC.

And I always pictured Texas as warm....

My water is holding 80 overnight and by each afternoon we are in the 83 range.

So far today I've tested water, back washed the pump, added more bleach... blind raked a little. Tested and added more bleach. My warm water is also now cold thanks to the rain.

Common issue it seems, and sounds like you have a little SLAM going on there.

Water holding at 81, but colder and 7 days of rain in the forecast. Squeezed the sock and added a bag of salt cuz my chlorine maker said to. Told you it has rained a lot! My salt and my cya is in the lake!

I scooped out a bit of mulch from my pool yesterday.
Checked fC via OTO
Checked SWG -all green
watched it fill up with more water from the rain - got about an inch yesterday.

This morning
watching it fill up with more rainwater. Im sure I'll have to drain some by this evening.

Emptied the skimmer basket, which beats the last 3.5 weeks! The family has been in it every day since Sunday. It is nice to know that they, at least, are enjoying the fruits of my labor.

Cleaned skimmer sock, did a chlorine test.

Put in the robot... not sure if it's the cold water or what, but not climbing walls much at all lately. Might be time to look into replacing the old Tigershark... or maybe just the motor? May take off the bottom intake adapter to see if it works better.

Emptied skimmer baskets. Much less seeds and leaves than after last week's wind. Pollen starting to settle on the pool in the afternoons though!

The old system died last year. It was on its last leg, and I added some salt with it running. I'm guessing that finished it off faster. I didn't care about that pos anyway. I'll take super good care of his one. Need a little extra cya to protect the FC my new baby is making.

Yesterday: Brushed the steps, added MA, cleaned the skimmers, adjusted the pump run time to increase the FC with the SWG. Awaited a thunderstorm - yes, another one
