My pool is 18’ x 36’. I am losing 1” of water a night (8 hr period). Is that normal?

Seems pretty high in your climate. I come close to that, but our humidity is single digits and triple digit heat.

I think that's too high. I am down the road in Savannah and not losing anywhere neat that. You might want to do the bucket test.

Sounds excessive to me. We are having quite the warm summer right now in Oklahoma and with 11 hours of sunlight on the pool, we are losing between 1/4 and 1/2" a day.
