More than anything I’d highly suggest the OCLT as I suspect you’re tinkering with being done. I don’t think you’ll pass just yet, but I’ve been wrong on a few other items during your conversion.
I agree, I feel like it close but still a couple days off of done! I am still getting small pieces of gunk in the pool so I still have some clean up most likely.More than anything I’d highly suggest the OCLT as I suspect you’re tinkering with being done. Good, will do. Thanks so much for the quick response!Use the solar cover. It reduces UV impact and evaporation very well.
You’re still seeing a good bit of chlorine loss to go changing the sand just yet. Odds on favor say there’s still some goo floating around the bulk of the pool that will get trapped in the sand and really “gum” it up. Baqua-Goo is a very sticky material and if you change to early you’ll clump up the new sand.Backwash the filter and keep it clean. Don’t worry about the sand change until you hit your FC loss goal. Get the light out of its niche and clean that out. Pull out any ladders. Brush the pool walls down to the drain.
Sounds good, so during the heat of day with solar cover on the pool, should I not worry about FC level at all? Then bring it up at night?
Thank again!
Thank you,You’re on your way!
When u get ready for sand a shop vac is your best friend. If u don’t have one - work on procuring one. There’s lots of YouTube videos on how to get it done. Be ready to inspect laterals, gaskets etc. & scope out a place to get replacements if necessary so u won’t have any down time.
Why did the sand need changing last year? Sand will last the lifetime of the filter if not subjected to floc, clarifiers, etc.I also watched as the local pool place changed sand last year
