So this happened

What’s so hard about just doing what is supposed to be done?
Preach !!! What is so hard about seeing a big hole in the wall with a 6 ft cavity also dug out. The stairs are sitting right next to where they put the panel in, it's not like they didn't know.

The Foreman guy was quick to realize what I was saying and agree.

Okay answer this question for my learn for today. How do you fix that wire? I know what I think
-cut it in two places
-add in wire to bring it down and over on the ground

What I don't know is HOW do you connect the ends of the wires? What do you use?

Pretty much what James posted. The bonding wire went to the close corner of the deep end and then to the pad in one piece. They still had the spool at the pad so they pulled 10 more feet from it and undid the clamp at the other corner to let more through. Its hard to tell from the pic but 2 wires come in (from left of corner and top of corner) pass through the clamp, and both wires keep going to the pad. 20220613_183005.jpg

Just catching up. I bet you a few of us dumb COs could finish building your pool with our collective jack of all trades extra curricular activities we put aside to babysit. I'm just sayin...
The bonding wire across the steps is rich. Who thought that up n said... this"ll work! ?!!!

I'm that guy myself and it has been PAINFUL.
The bonding wire clothesline was a new kid. As we were going over the gameplan first thing, the foreman guy handed a spool to the kid and told him to 'go wrap the pool'. This fix took 2 minutes and not 2 weeks so hands down the electricians are spanking the other crews.

They overcompensated with enough slack to reach the front yard and back. Not only is it on the ground now but I need a coiler.

I was thinking I could MacGyver up a pitching machine and a 55 gallon drum to be like what they use on the Alaskan crab boats.

Wow. It’s crazy how you have to check the work of “pros”. Does anyone care anymore!?! Good god. I hope it all works out but man if it does it’s because you knew what to look for. SMH

The owner later remarked 'so you know electric, huh ?'

Well. I mean. A copper clothesline across our entry point is more of a common sense thing, but yeah. I also kinda know electric. :ROFLMAO:

Another week down update :

Got a call from PB earlier and they are expecting to have my liner in their hands mid week next week. We discussed how I have already waited 2 or 3 minutes thus far and I told PB that i expected him to *give his other customers kites that they could fly* once he has my liner. (Use your imaginations)

Then he told me that fired GC never collected a dig payment (Good Friday) or a shell payment (Day after Easter). Oh how I laughed. I told PB I had been waiting for him to realize just how bad GC fouled both of us.

'That's a $25k mistake PB and he got you GOOD. The difference is that you'll get your money, but I won't get my time lost.'

With all the interest I earned for 9 weeks on PBs money, the next time I get gas, I don't have to jiggle the hose when the tank is full. I'll pay those 3 drops forward to the peasant behind me.

He is just now catching that so it is on him as well! How many other builds have money waiting to be collected? Guess you will be eating Hamburger Helper for a while until the money is collected huh PB?

What did he say to this? Seeing how long it took just to get the liner book or NOT get it!

NOTHING will give the time back that is for sure. I hope he ponies up a little something something to help ease it a bit.

hehe now is the time I ask if you have your test kit yet as it will not be long before there is water in that hole!!! Wait have you testt the house water yet for pH and TA?

I'm going to take a wild rear guess here and go with 'all of them'. :ROFLMAO:

What did he say to this?
He said that if they have my liner we will be filling in a day or two. He didn't imply weather and weekends permitting, but I am assuming them as I am a fair dude.

You so funny. Always with the jokes to cheer people up.

I think it's time. But I still have this nagging feeling because I am 61 weeks into my 3 week build. Is 1 week left actually 7 days or 20.3 weeks ? I invented the term PB years like dog years for a reason. So far 3 PB weeks means 61 weeks.
Wait have you testt the house water yet for pH and TA?
We have very kind water for pools. Low CH, and PH/TA are ready to go out the tap.

Losing time in the season is definitely depressing. I was talking to my neighbor yesterday and he booked a paving company to put down a black top pad for basketball. After a month and a half wait they showed up, unloaded the gear and the told the owner they couldn’t do it because of the grade of the yard and said it would cost like 5k more. He was ah… no! Now he can’t find another contractor because he lost that month and everyone is booked solid.
