I'm trying to balance good suction in my skimmer with a nice flow from my waterfall, but I am not that familiar with the controls. Can anyone help me based on the picture provided?

SEA, welcome to the forum! The pic helps a lot, but there may be more info that would help us. Can you update your signature please with anything else that may apply? For example, do you have a main drain? Any other suction/vacuum ports in the pool? Two skimmers perhaps? You can see my signature as an example as well.
You have the ability to turn the valves to influence both suction and pressure (return to the pool). From the pic it's hard to tell which pipe is for what function. If they are labeled you could tell us which would also help.

Sea,

Welcome to TFP... A great place to learn all about how your pool operates. :shark:

Actually the suction in the skimmer has nothing to do with whether the waterfall is on or not.

You have three pipes coming into your pump... Tell us what the three pipes are for.. I assume Skimmer, Main drain, and vacuum port. Tell us what you believe they are for and which valve is which.

You have three pipes after your salt cell... You need to tell us what they feed... I assume pool returns, waterfall and ????? Tell us where each pipe goes...

Once we know the set up, we will be able to tell you what we think is the best way to set up your system..

Thanks,

Jim R.
