This tells me how to update software, which I’ve already done. I‘m asking how to set up the password.

When you load the software (Step 3) on a PC or laptop, you set up the password there. Then download the app, and use that password.
Hello,
I'm also trying to change my password, but I'm not able to use the method above.
I have a Mac and the macOS version I downloaded from that same page seems to be obsolete and won't run.
Is there any alternative (web-based, or perhaps through the app, or through the panel itself)?

Screenlogic only runs on Windows and there is no web based version.
YMMV, but others had success using PlayOnMac to get ScreenLogic working on a Mac.

Pentair Screenlogic and Mac Catalina
Does anyone happen to know if Pentair is going to release a version of Screenlogic Connect that will work with the lates MacOs update (Catalina)? The problem is that it needs to be a 64 bit app and it is only 32 until it receives an update. I can find one for windows but no luck on a Mac.
