Pool Reno....

So here are some pictures from the days work. They have started to remove the old equipment from the pool (and continue on the diving board removal). Here we go...

On this shot you can see the location of the 4 lights that are being installed (they are the pink dots on the wall, one just to the right of the hoses and the other three along the wall into the deep end).

Take a piece of the old diving board and turn it into some kind of yard art.

Theres a hunk of the diving board in front of the garbage bag - I should grab it!

They love that pink paint! PInk = cut here! Too bad they can't ping the wall to find the rebar! Bet that caused an adult word or two!

All of the colourful language has been saved for the diving board stand removal!

Day #11 of the great pool reno of 2018 has come and gone. Work today continued on core drilling for the lights and return lines (3 are 100% drilled, 1 is 50% drilled (rebar in the way again!) and we have 3 to go). The two cut-outs for the skimmers are done and work continues on taking out the diving board base.

The EXCITING news for the day is that the original plan of reconstructing the top 4-10" of the beam doesn't have to take place. It is in excellent shape and they will form and pour the new top without the need to tear down the top of the current beam.

Here is the video from the day - not very exciting, but the job progresses! (can't wait for the digger to start working on the pit for the spa and all of the various pool lines).

Day #12 is complete. Today's work involved completing the core drilling for the lights/return lines and drilling/placing the rebar into place for the new coping. Tomorrow we have rain on tap, but that hasn't stopped these guys before!

I've slowed the video down a tad to 2 minutes instead of being 1 minute (fitting an 8 hour day into 1 minute made things go by in a blur...)

Sept. 24 - Day #12 | Nest

Yesterday was an off day (another pool was being *shot* so it was all hands on deck on that site). Work continued today with the coping forming being done. Not exactly sure why, but most of the rebar that was put in place on Monday was removed today. Will need to find out what the skinny is on that!

The video (September 26 - Day #13 | Nest) and a couple of pictures of the work....

NICE! Glad to see you are working with people who care! Can do some poking around to find out what they did not like about the "set" and what they are going to do different. I love to learn news things and this info might come in handy for someone else down the road.
