Pentair superflow pump question

So 342002 is the new 342001, but I can still buy both, and they are different prices? Is this just an inventory glitch, or are there actual differences between the two?

342002 is a Trade Grade product sold through retail stores and requires professional installation for Pentair's 1 or 3 year parts and labor warranty.

EC-342001 is the e-commerce channel version with a 1 year parts only warranty.

Yup.

Many companies now have different SKU's for the same product for different sales channels.

For a few bucks more you could buy a real pump...

I never recommend a small (1.5 HP) VS pump...

A larger (3 HP) VS pump can run at a lower RPM and still move a lot of water. At this speed it is almost silent.
