So we are going with tropics blue in the end. Hopefully this coming week. Csnt believe its taken this long to get scheduled...
Have a question about acid washing...what is the purpose? Is it mainly to expose pebble? If we dont do it would plaster be smoother (due to pebbles being less exposed)?

It will be smoother but a lot less uniform. If you want smooth ask them to polish it
Less uniform because some pebbles will be exposed, some not all and some in between

Have you plastered & filled your pool? How do you like the water color of the tropics blue?
We're thinking about going StoneScapes Aqua White Touch of Glass, but not sure if thats a mini pebble or regular pebble. Does anyone here have info on that?
The other option would be aqua white puerto rico blend 2 or 3 bag formula.
WetEdge and Universal Micro Fusion is also being considered.
Havent yet. Getting plaster this Thursday and acid wash Friday. Will post pics as we go along.

Did they say when they would do startup?
We are supposed to have acid wash on friday and startup on monday.
Was wondering if startup is supposed to happen immediately or if its ok to wait a few days...

I believe they will be filling the pool today after the acid wash and it will take about a day and a half to fill. My PB will be back on Friday to test all the equipment if that’s what you mean by start up.

have not plastered yet, probably will not. My concern is that the basecrete will cause the existing shotcrete substrate to be too smooth and less rough surface adhesion for the pebble plaster.
i'm hopeful it will be fine.

nice! what is the difference between Aqua White 2 vs Aqua White 3 Puerto Rico blend? Are you able to add touch of glass beads to the Puerto Rico blend?
We're at the stage of picking the pebble plaster and its been tough decisions with the limited amout of resources and pictures and actual pools to see from. Do you have pictures of your pool after plaster to share?
