New Pool Build in Spring, TX

Any dish liquid will do. It acts as surfactant; makes it not run off plant.
Epson slats usually dissolves fine.
A spray bottle that can be adjusted to be a stream is best so you can be selective if needs be.

I've used this sort of mix to knock down some weeds that all those 'lawn friendly' herbicides will not touch.
If you use it to spot kill weeds in a lawn, it makes a brown spot, but a st augustine lawn recovers quicker than the weed does.

Kim, with a fenceline around 6.5 acres you might want a backpack sprayer.
I only have an acre and carrying the 3 gal sprayer by hand is a chore.

Regarding the closeness of the pipes to the fence, it's a shame the plumber did not put that 6 pipe water feature distributor off the end of the pad instead of the side.
Looks pretty tight and exposed there.
If you think the outer-most pipes need protection, get some 3" PVC (NOT sch 40) cut 18" length and then cut lengthwise on one side.
Dig down a little on the pipe you want to shield and wrap the 3" pipe around it.
Fill it with sand or 'good stuff' expanding foam if you feel inclined.
Now you have an armored pipe.

Good idea. Thanks!

I just put gravel all the way across.

Looks like they installed my ClearO3 like yours. Just screwed into the mortar. (I'll get pics up later.) I thought water had to run through it. Guess not.

Question to all. Is it worth disabling or uninstalling the ClearO3? I'm more concerned with the Nature2. Can I simply remove the metal pack from the canister or do I HAVE to break it open and remove the actual metal then place the pack back in the canister?

Also if you were in my position would you run the Nature2 for PB warranty purposes? What would you do?

Thanks.

This ^^^^^ might be a good solution for you bdrums.
As it is such a narrow area, fill it all with gravel.
Bull rock would not work, because it is uncomfortable to walk on.
No mower issue, unless this is the only way you can get the mower from the front to the back yard.

Once the PB hands over after the startup period, it is up to you how you chlorinate.
The warranty is on the component manufacturers after that.

Love the natural mix of Epsom salt, vinegar and dish detergent! It works really well for us too. Use a fragrance free dish soap though. Otherwise avoiding chemicals is a little counter productive. 'Fragrance' has a ton of chemical ingredients for quite the 'proprietary' cocktail.

There have been a couple of pool builds where the owners showed the PB their test kits and just texted him their levels and told him what they would add. He gave the okay and all was well. Their pools got balanced much faster than normal due to this. It was Suz in Texas and Sunbaby also in Texas.

It might be worth talking to your PB about.

Oh and use the word chlorine instead of bleach LOL

Worth a try but our PB also runs a service company. Not sure if I can convince him.

Minor delay today. Decking was supposed to start today but it's been wet the last couple of days. Not that it matters much. We made a slight modification to the decking plans and the PB needs to revise the permit. Not sure how long that will take. First real delay so not at all disappointed.

Just caught up with your thread...I love your design! It's so pretty and has such great curves! Can't wait to see the deck now that they started, and, of course, the finished product! Good move with the deck all the way to the house.

Picture of sewer cleanout and backwash drain. I understand the need for an air gap on the backwash pipe but there's standing water in the pipe at a level of about 8 - 10" below the top of the pipe. Is this normal?

When I run water into the pipe from the water hose, it never rises.

Also what do y'all do to prohibit critters from getting into the pipe?

I have not seen anything like that but that is not saying much LOL

Walk us through what this is...........the bigger pipe on the bottom is the ???

The pipe coming up and over pointed at the bottom pipe is ????
