OK met with PB and tomorrow 10/3, deck (concrete) is being poured
Monday 10/6 - pool is being pumped out (lots of rain water in there!)
Tuesday 10/7 - Tiles are being set (had good creative meeting on how some accents will be done!)
Tuesday 10/7 - Thursday 10/9 yard clean up
Friday 10/10 - "Kool decking" is being applied

So the tile meeting was good and some good ideas came out of that as we are doing some accent tiles with the main tiles along the back and under the spill.
As to the coping, since we are doing a cantilever edge the decking being poured today fills that "role", they will come back to "tool" the decking edges to smooth out the upper and lower edges at the pool.

I have tile, but I might get a deck this week. Its funny our builds have been parallel - I think we started the same day. We've had similar problems and its all gone in different order but I think we might finish around the same time. We have pool cousins

Although I bet your weather will be a little bit warmer that ours when we finally get water. I might be in a wetsuit.

It is very similar in timing and we are getting excited to be ALMOST there!

Thanks for the city for denying our original pergola spacing, the posts now create trouble for spacing. Now the island is going at an angle vs. facing pool as I didn't want my back originally to the pool.

The inspectors are giving their approval and certainly "inspect" the daily changes
Tile is to be done as well as the pergola completion today.

Thanks, we are very happy about the deck finish... the new tile finish today... not so much. Lines off/out of line, missing ALL accent tile from back wall (found the full cases of it too!)
Called the PB and he will have them redo it...

I'll say this much, your PB seems to be doing very nice work. When I first saw your design I didn't really care much for it but whoever designed it has much more imagination than I do. I really like the way it is coming together. I can't wait to see it finished.

It's weird because I am a very symmetrical person so I was surprised it did not appeal to me. But, now that is coming together it appeases my symmetry OCD monster. lol.

It's all looking very good! Love the deck and pergola. Those deco tiles are lovely too. I'm sure they are even better on a wall! How long did you have to keep your doggies off the deck for? I'm not looking forward to trying to walk my horde.
