I see a chlorine feeder in the plumbing - any plans to add a SWG? I started with feeders over 30 years ago... last two pools have had an SWG. Far easier to maintain, and less chemical usage.

Pool looks great! Love the coping!

Thank you!

We might switch to SWG down the road. Wanted to give it a shot without a SWG first to see how difficult it is to maintain, so far it's not bad at all. I know we'll have to watch our CYA over time but if that's the only downside to pucks I think I can live with that for a little bit. We'll see!

I see it now, that stinks. With the expansion joint right there, it looks like they should be able to make a clean repair. Nice you have the final payment to make still, makes getting fixes like this a lot easier to get done.

Really like the deck layout, I am thinking of doing something similar. Can't wait for the updates on this and the custom lights.

What made you decide on the particular deck surface?

We really just wanted something with little to no maintenance. Found out composite decking get extremely hot in direct sunlight and discovered PVC decking, which doesn’t get nearly as hot. So we spent the extra $ for that feature 😂

Here’s some progress pics of the deck...still lots to finish up with it but VERY happy with how it’s turning out. First time putting deck boards down, so it’s been fun...

Looking good! I also am looking at the Azek Timbertech decking. I ordered samples of the "Harvest Collection", specifically the slate grey (We will have grey tone pavers around the pool), which Timbertech lists as "stays cooler", claiming 30 degree difference from typical decking. This one is also slip resistant, which will also be good around the pool. Yep, a bit more money, but so is the pool! I like the different elevations, gives more of a "depth" to the whole space.

What details can you share about the lights in the back of the one deck? they look like they point up which would be nice not to be in everyones eyes. Can they change color as well?

Really digging the pictures of all this coming together.

Azek Harvest Slate Grey is exactly what we're putting down! I love it so far! It stays way cooler than composites according to our testing we did of samples during the summer time haha it also has a good amount of grip to it, even when it's wet. Never have to worry about splinters or any maintenance really, it's amazing. Only thing is, you better make sure you love the color, which for our design I do, because there is no changing it once you hit that "Buy Now" button!

These are the deck lights I got from Amazon:

They change colors, even can be set to change colors to music that's playing! They connect to WiFi and can be totally controlled from your phone or Alexa/Google Home. So far they work great!

I'm putting these under the steps of the deck coming off the house, they're made by the same company I guess because they use the same app and have the same features so everything is synched together:

That looks sharp! Any more pictures of a bit father away, or one with both decks lit up at night?

How is the rest of the project going? All repairs done to your satisfaction?

Still waiting to determine the concrete situation, PB has said they will correct but haven’t heard from him for the past week...we still have our final payment left so I’m not stressing too much about it.

These lights though! Still have more too add 😂

Nice deck! We are thinking of doing the same when our pool is installed next year. Is the deck on the side just floating? Or did you dig in concrete footers? Looks awesome!

I love the pool. My wife and I also live in Memphis. We're in the Poplar and Mendenhall area. We're getting a 14x29 pool because our backyard is also small. Are you happy with the size of your pool. We could potentially make it wider, but are leaning to keeping the current dimensions. Thanks!

Thank you! We are really happy with the size, especially with our yard dimensions. Obviously, the bigger the better, but 14x30 has been plenty big for us!
