We just had our final meeting today before excavation on Monday. The pool will actually be pushed back by and 2 feet and rotated slightly due to making sure they do not dig too close to the house which could cause a structural issue. We will end up gaining 86 more sq feet on the deck.

Get IntelliCenter instead of EasyTouch. IntelliCenter is Pentair’s newest automation product vs EasyTouch which is old technology. Also, how do you plan on chlorinating your pool? I recommend a salt-chlorine generator.

What a pretty pool design. That is going to fit purrfect in that yard! THANKS for the pics of the yards!

Looking at your list of equipment I can see at least one thing you want to remove from your list-the ozone system. Here is some reading you can do about it: Ozone Systems - Further Reading

Thank you. I had purchased the ozone system as I had planned on being in the spa a lot but will take a look at the article. I appreciate the feedback.

We planned on using salt chlorine. Thanks for letting me know... I didn’t know there was a newer pentair.
Great! Make sure it is rated for at least 2x the volume of your pool. Pentair makes the IC20 (10,000 gallons or below) IC40 (20,000 or lower and the IC60 (30,000 gallons.). My pool is 20,000, but I got the IC60. I think it was around $100 more than the IC40, but I have tons of flexibly on how many hours a day I need to run the pump and it will last longer.

Skywalker, well done. I see you've also met Jim, he helped me out a lot early on here. Small world around these parts. Can't wait to bring the family over to your finished project ;)

Excavation is now done, and the truck carrying rebar and the pipes for the plumbing just arrived.

It's done sometimes. It was on mine. He said he does it if he has any concern about the base getting wet/saturated from rains. With the stone, you still have a nice clean surface to lay rebar and shoot gunite onto.
