Opened my pool today, and the filter was at the usual 5 psi / 116 gpm. After a few hours it jumped to 25psi and down to 60gpm. I cleaned the filter and it went all back to normal numbers again. Within 30 minutes the psi spiked back up and gpm dropped once again! The pool is cloudy, don’t know if that has to do with it but I have never seen this happen even on other pools I manage.

Yup, algae can be in perfectly clear pools and growing before they get to where they cloud the water. Then finally with enough algae the pool turns green.
