Opened my pool today, and the filter was at the usual 5 psi / 116 gpm. After a few hours it jumped to 25psi and down to 60gpm. I cleaned the filter and it went all back to normal numbers again. I have a 15x30 above ground pool at the house i purchased in October. The pump on it is bad and needs to be replaced. the current pump was a hayward Power-Flo LX Pump 1.5 hp. Should i replace it with the same one or go with a different brand? I was looking at the harris 1.5hp above ground pump...

Greetings! I bought a 1.5 hp replacement pump on Ebay last year (old pump made it through the season), but the hoses do not fit (pump is smaller on outlet and bigger on inlet). What am I missing?
