Jandy Pump Relay Wiring

I'm replacing a 2-speed, 2.5HP Century motor with a Century EVO 2.25HP variable speed motor. The folks at Inyo told me I needed a new relay. I ordered this one (Zodiac R0658100 3-HP Relay with Harness). I'm using a AquaLink® RS System. It doesn't include any directions on how to wire the relay. I have pictures below of the existing relay in the control panel as well as the wiring for the existing pump.

A few questions: Do i need a another relay for the variable speed pump vs the existing relay for the 2-speed pump. The current relay appears to be an "up to 3HP relay" as well. If I do need a new relay, is the one above the correct relay? Is there a manual/diagram on how to properly wire the relay?

A 2-speed pump uses two relays on the Aqualink: the standard filter/pump relay and a special 2-speed relay for the second speed connected to AUX2.

Your VS pump connects to the LINE screws on your filter/pump relay. If you want to use AUX2, remove the special relay and install the standard relay. Also, dip switch #2 needs to be changed to OFF.

Post pictures of your Aqualink showing all the relays and wiring to confirm my assumptions.

The relay on the left side is the special 2-speed relay.

Your four relays on the back wall look normal. You don't need to replace any relays and can return the one you bought or keep it as a spare.

I can't tell where the wires connected to the 2-speed relay run within that rats nest of wires.

You need to follow the wires connected to the 2-speed relay, disconnect them, and remove the relay.

Thanks for all your help and guidance! I finally had time yesterday to finish the install. I removed the two-speed relay, kept the existing main pump relay, and the pump works well. I'm using manually now. My RS485 terminal block should arrive today so I can connect the pump to my iaqualink system for automation.

Unfortunately, once the water started flowing I have a significant leak at one of the connections for my booster pump and a small leak at one of the PVC joints feeding the heater. Neither of these leaks existed 3 weeks ago prior to the pump failure. I assume that the length of time without any flow affected the PVC connections? Either way, I'm doing plumbing work this weekend!

I doubt it. Pools sit all winter without any water flow and don't begin leaking.
