Hey folks,
I just updated the firmware on an Intellitouch system for a fellow TFP member @riverlvr ... his system had an Indoor Unit at T1.051 (Service/Trainer version), and an outdoor unit at 1.130. I updated both to 1.190.
The problem is that he had 1 VS pump set up - but after updating the firmware, the VS pump had changed to a VF and he is unable to change it back to VS... cycling through the types (VF > VSF > VS) and selecting VS has no affect.
The release notes specify a procedure when updating from a version 1.070 or below to a later version... basically they have you:
- update the indoor firmware
- clear the indoor unit's eeprom and allow it to load programming from the outdoor
- clear the outdoor unit's eeprom and allow it load programming from the indoor
That procedure ensures that you're loading your "old" programming into a device running the updated firmware, and it's supposed to mitigate any update issues. I've done dozens of updates to 1.180 and never seen a VS change to a VF... but I haven't done too many to 1.190 - especially on a system running firmware older than 1.070.
Does anybody know of any issues related to the 1.190 update from older firmware?
